As an Intuitive artist, I don't always follow the rules of the art world. I paint shapes and colors that come to me. I am influenced by travel, music, other artists and the many instructors and mentors I have had over the years. My paintings are an expression of my lifelong journey, the brushstrokes reflect my ideas, emotions, and experiences. I try to create work that invites imagination and different interpretation, and inspires feelings of curiosity, happiness and thought. I am 85 years old and now in my later years I feel I have found my voice. My paintings have become more refined, yet my process remains always open to new techniques and playfulness. I continue to remain aware of what's new in the art world and follow my creative spirit wherever it leads.
