Having grown up in Colorado I’m drawn to nature and the rich colors in all forms. Painting mountain scenes is my particular favorite. Blues, deep rich greens, and purples dominate my work. The last several years I’ve had the opportunity to spend part of my time in the desert southwest. This chance has allowed me to introduce a different color palette of rich browns, golds, terracotta, and sage greens into my work. Being a watercolorist, mixed media, photographer, pastel, and jewelry artist for most of my life I recently added Digital Art and Alcohol Inks to my portfolio. With digital art and alcohol inks I am able to bring brighter and more vibrant colors into my work. I’ve always painted with my heart and not by the rules; that has allowed me to embrace alcohol inks where the medium is very free form. Additionally, digital art is a new medium to me, and I’m continuing to learn and grow in that process.
