-Ellen Langel Ellen Lengel has been an artist in heart & soul since she was a child, always looking at the world through questioning, creative & loving eyes, experimenting and constantly searching for ways to express life. She is in the "Wise-Woman" years of life & the creative processes have gone from a trickling creek to a mature river. She loves to let all those wonderful ideas flow thru her fingers & into creative cuttings, paintings, wool embroidery, beading and desert found objects pieces. Her work varies from clean simple designs to, detailed black cuttings to colorful works of art. A love of the Pennsylvania Dutch Designs was inspired by her husband's ancestry- Pennsylvania Dutch from Amish country, PA.(Womelsdorff) Growing up in the beauty of Western New York(WNY) with lots of woods, rivers, lakes & lots of green landscape……….she is now an Arizona-based artist since 2016 and is thrilled to be exploring the colorful and desolate beauty of the desert in juxtaposition to WNY.
