MARY A. KRUGER Resides on a farm near Aberdeen, Saskatchewan, Canada. She enrolled in several art classes at the University of Saskatchewan while completing her Bachelor of Education Degree.
Media she works with are watercolor, oil and acrylic. Her inspiration comes from the wide, open and rolling grain fields of Saskatchewan with its active skies. She was commissioned by Cargill to paint canola fields in bloom. Her paintings are held in private collections and corporate offices in Minnesota, Colorado and Idaho.
Inspiration also comes from a photography class with the Mothership Adventures Tours. This tour of the rugged west coast of British Columbia with its stunning wilderness was so inspirational.
Always open to new ideas and eager to learn, she has enrolled in past workshops with professional artists: Nita Engle, Brent Heighton, Brian Ateyo, Richard McDiarmid, David Langevin, Susan Woolgar, and Michael O'Toole.
Painting with Saskatoon Painters Club and Mountain Shadows Artist Association provides an opportunity to expand and share knowledge. Most of all to make friends with fellow artists.
