Patti is an artist who started her artistic endeavors after she retired. Her main medium is pastel, but she also creates works with fused glass and encaustics. She is drawn to water and usually includes it in her artwork. Patti also loves painting outdoors on location and participates yearly in the local plein air event in her hometown. Patti started painting in 2014 and has studied under influential pastel artists like Richard McKinley, Marla Bagetta, Mike Beeman and Barbara Jaenicke. She has won awards from prestigious organizations including the Arizona Pastel Artists Association, and Pastel Artists of Oregon, and she has had work juried into the Pastel Society of the West Coast, Colorado Pastel Society, Pastel Society of Southern California, Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada, Northwest Pastel Society, and Pastel Society of Southeast Texas. It is a great joy for her to honor the beauty of the world and to share that in her artwork with you.
